Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

For Plug-Ins there are quite a few...

Generally you must ensure they are for your version. If not they will either just fail to load or cause Maya to crash.

The default install path is <MayaInstallPath>\Bin\Plug-Ins, any mel scripts that accompany it should go into your Maya\mayaversionscripts folder.

For plugins that are part of programs like Syflex the install should take care of it.

Hope this helps.

Also a lot of people forget that once they are in they need to go to: Window>Setting/Preferences>Plugin Manager...then select the plug in to make it load with Maya...
