Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Problem with the cloth modifier

I want to create a thicker fabric but when I try to create two panels and seam them together they just "blow" up when I start to simulate it. I tried changing the parameters but it didnt solve my problem.

So my questions are, is it possible to fix this problem? And secondly, is there a way to just make the fabric thicker?

Cloth has it's limitation tbh. The thinkness parameter in the solver is only to allow it to simulate as if it was a thicker fabric.

If you try it with a primative (Cube etc...) it wont work either.
