Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Hmm... I see user added image

The best you can do is cleanup as much of your scene as possible... run cleanup on all geometry, get rid of unused nodes, delete as much history as possible etc. Try importing all geometry into a new scene as well, that helps with dodgy scenes sometimes.

Colapse the stack. If you are shoore that you have finished some model turn everething into edit mesh or edit poly, exept meshsmooth or turbosmooth modifier (and then, within this modifiers turn that only in render they subdivide mesh).
Offcourse, first open a new scene, and then merge models, and colapse them, one by one.

Be carefull, only God have unlimited amount of poly's. user added image

Great job, by the way. user added image

Sweet detail! I'm not great with crits as I'm pretty new to Maya but the stairwell looks a little odd to me because there's no cross braces. I climb smoke stacks for a living (lot of stair and ladder climbing) and so it's probably just because I look at metal stairs all day which makes it harder for me to visualize other styles. Cross braces would also make the stairwell more structually sound.

Model looks AWESOME so far!!!

Mmmm. It's hard to tell with the hatch marks because it's all broken and not continuous. You're much more creative than I am and this is a fantasy type challenge so I don't want to point you in the wrong direction. But perhaps being creative with the cross braces. Spacing them out more or using a criss cross.

Anybody else have any ideas?

here's first bridge, there are two... arches on ends of the bridge are still half-proxy.. will fix em, to look better...

I created reflexive material with bump just to point out the water... it's unimportant, cause i wont work to much on the terrain itself.. i just made it look like water not to spoil the render...

Please don't take just my word for it because I'm not very familiar with fantasy stuff. I'm pretty sure floating stairs are good in fantasy so what you have may be perfectly fine. I wanted to at least come up with one idea since I posted the crit, so here's one (although some kind of pattern might be better).
Hope yoo make sense of this because I can't make the lines line up.
