Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Problem with viewport displaying textures correctly

Hi All,

I've recently upgraded to Maya 7 and since then Iv'e had nothing but problems displaying textures in the viewports. The strange thing is, theres no consistency to the problem as some of the textures work, some don't, and they are all of different file types (tiff, iff, and jpg), and they are all different texture resolutions. All of them do render out fine though.

Iv'e included some screenshots to help explain the problem better. I would be very gratefull for any advice.

Rich.

Looks like a driver issue. You may want to check if there are newer drivers for your card.

Before you go updating drivers etc, try upping the hardware texture resolution, see if that sorts it out.

Oh right, cool. That sounds like it could work - how do you actually do that though? (been using maya for over 5 years)
