Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Well, seeing how I'm the one who did the VIP explosion tut, I'd hate to send you away to another site, so, in the meantime, I can write a text version of my video tutorial for you, (and everyone),
if you can give me a few bits of info before I do ituser added image

Question:

Are you doing a space (zero-g) type explosion, or are you doing an explosion of something closer to the surface of the earth, (or on it) ?

This is important because there are HUNDEREDS of ways you can do this type of effect, and I'd hate to give you a useless tutorial if you know what I meanuser added image

Also, I am in the process of doing part 2 of this series that will cover "Inter-earth" object explosions.
(basicly, explosions that are NOT in space)

Lemme know, and I'll add the tutorial to the "How I did It" area for you, and all, to see and learn fromuser added image

Thanks!

Sorry, just need to clarify a bit,

Are you exploding the earth itself?

...or are you doing an explosion of something closer to the surface of the earth, (or on it) ?

Sorry, just wonderinguser added image
