You can do this in the Camera Settings.

In your window panel.

View > Select Camera

Ctrl A

In the Attributes

Camera Attributes

Far Clip Plane.

It`s normally set to 1000.000 change it to as high as you need it too.

Have fun with the big scene user added image

I have a similar problem.

If I go to top or side view my character disappears. but in perspective is there. I opened my view to max an min. If I'm looking at top, and click side I see the charter move but then vanishes.
