Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Great job both you guys. They both look really good. It was fun to watch this competition unfold. The only question now is... who's going to battle next? user added image

You two did really great. You had some set backs but you pushed through them and were still able to submit final entries. Congrats to both of you.

Texturing outside maya is allowed
There will be a poll to determine the winner. >

dave if you had more time IMO you would have got my vote.

This has been great to watch and I hope you both are proud of your achievements and walk away smiling and having learned something.

Awe, don't be hesitant to enter a battle or comp bullet1968. They are really fun and the best part about it is that people help you along the way so you can also learn TONS.

Didn't your mama ever teach you that winning isn't everything. It's how you play the game and that you do your best and have fun user added image

In fact, just completing a competition is a big success in itself. But I'm sure you know all this already. If you just needed a swift kick in the rear..well, we're kicking so I expect to see you in the next comp, hehe.

Perfecto,

first I must thank for the mirth you have generated for me today....no winning isnt everything...but trying to play Aussie Rules football in a Soccer game wouldnt be right!! LOL

I complete competetions 40 times a day!!! not too strangle co-workers/Engineers/designers/Enviro people etc etc etc Supervisors being on the top.

I really dont have the skill or experience...hmmmmm it would be like asking some of you (long shot) to design 3D with correct co-ords, levels (Z value in Survey) apply this to a model (about 10 layers maybe 15) and then stake it...then check it...ad nauseum. THAT I AM good at (sometimes) he he he he

sorry for the hijack
