Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Another Spitfire

Ok guys,

yes I have a lot of unfinished work...but this will get done..eventually. I wasnt happy with the geo on my tutorial Spitty...and after seeing Rick going like the clappers on a few models of late..I thought I would redo this...as it is one of my favourite planes. I am off to the desert for 6 weeks so I aim to complete a few models while Im there as well as work on the other things I have.

Anyway I hope this will push me...I need it..NOT LOL...no I will really try hard to show you guys I can model sometimes...infantile or not.

Cheers bullet

forgive the renders I will improve that tomorrow IF I get time.

Thanks guys! I will post some wireframes later steve...its pretty neat this tiime around.

The fuselage is just a poly cylinder dave...stretched out and manipulated. I did the wings with a create polt tool and extruded up then down and moved edges around to get sharpness on the trailing edges...they are quite sharp looking at the refs. I will cut in the landing gear port the the rear and then the wheels etc. I will use a similar interior to my ME-3262 (yes unfinished lol) etc...so this will be a long one

cheers all for the feedback!
