I have Maya 4.0, and I noticed Mental Ray is for Maya 4.5. Now I was wondering if theres a version of MR for maya 4, or if it will work with 4.0. Thnx for any info.

im pretty sure they only have a free version of mental ray for maya 4.5 if you use it for 4.0 your gonna have to pay for it.

I'm sure mental ray for maya only works on maya 4.5.

You could use the stand alone version, but that'll COST you user added image

Hey, you could download de Maya 4.5 PLE and play with MR, i know that those big letters in the scenes can be a pain in the ass, but its better than nothing! user added image
