Pirate Ship

Hi All,

Here is my first work in progress that I thought good enough to post. I've finished modeling the ship and all that's left is the texturing. Probably won't start on this for a while as I need to get photoshop installed first.

Feel free to let me know what you think.

Wow! Looks great. I would be interested to see some more of your work. Keep 'em coming... BTW, what was your inspiration for this? Just curious.

What reference are you using?

I'm currently supervising the model build on a new Michael Bay tv series called Black sails and am building stuff from on set scans and images. I think you need to add at least 4 more sails for this type of galleon, and also tighten those ropes/ladders.

add some extra pulleys of different variation too, all the small detail will make this baby spring to life even more!!

watching...

Yeah That is why I redid the masts and sails for David's project.

Hey all,

Thanks for the comments. I totally agree with the sails looking a bit odd. They could definitely use some more rigging and stuff but at the moment I've just been following along. Haven't done to many projects of my own, still following along with tutorials.
