alpha channels for image planes

Ive created a TGA file from a jpeg using an alpha channel...

but when i go into maya and set it up so that the image is used on a plane it still shows the whole image..


any ideas?

Did you remember to paint black for invisible and white for visible in your alpha channel... ?

Otherwise... try again. You must have done something wrong.

turns out it was an issue with photoshop 7.0

got plugin all fixed..
