revert 5.0 to 4.0 or 4.5

how do you same 5.0 for 4.5 or 4.0?

sorry i wanted to know how you save a 5.0 scene file to be read in 4.0 or 4.5

save a file from version 5 so that you can open it in 4.5 or 4?

I would sure like to know myself user added image

oh ok, that does not work easy. and it might not always work. there is a way to save the file as ascii (.ma) and then editing it by hand so that it does not say it is a 5.0 file no more.

there is a thread somewhere that describes that - but i dont know exactly where. maybe you try the search. and others might have found this later and direct you to the right thread.
