veins in a leaf with ncloth

hello! I have made a leaf with ncloth and I want to put veins in it that is a real geometry (i.e. not a bump map.) I am making cylinders and turning them to ncloth objects with the same material as the leaf, but I can't make them deform with the leaf because the geometry is different. I have tried attract to matching mesh option, but the leaf just goes haywire around the veins. Any ideas?
