Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Maya 2010 shortcuts

Anyone know a list of keyboard shortcuts for Maya 2010. I need in particular the shortcut for extrude.

I have the book by Autodesk but I cannot find a summary of shortcuts

There is a hotkey editor in Maya, which I believe has a printable version. Also, you can search for hotkeys and assign your own. I don't believe there is a default hotkey for extrude otherwise it would listed beside the menu item, but you can assign your own, just query your choice of keys to see if they are already bound to something else. Hope that helps.

Windows > Settings/Preferences > Hotkey editor

On the right corner click "List all..." for a better view.

There is no hotkey for extrude.You have to make one.

When in doubt, delete history and freeze transformations.
