JangaFX, creators of gaseous fluid simulator EmberGen, have released a demo video of their much-anticipated software LiquiGen. While EmberGen simulates smoke and fire, LiquiGen deals with liquids, and there’s hope that it could provide a faster and more interactive alternative to existing fluid simulation software like Next Limit’s RealFlow. According to JangaFX, there’s still work to be done before the final product is ready for release, but the R&D is promising.
EmberGen is officially in beta for now and available only for Windows 10. It’s got an attractive price point for smaller studios and freelancers, with indie subscriptions priced at $19.99/month and annual at $199.99/year. A free 14-day trial is available and subscribers qualify for a perpetual license after twelve months. Check out the EmberGen release trailer below.
