Ecotope is a new object scattering tool created inside GraphN, Polygon Flow’s visual programming system for DCC applications. The company describes Ecotope as “the first in a long series of worldbuilding tools we’re creating with GraphN.” It lets you scatter objects like vegetation across surfaces in a scene and control distribution patterns, which simplifies worldbuilding tasks within Maya.

GraphN, which is currently in beta, is compatible with Maya 2020+ and Unreal Engine 5 on Windows only. Linux support is planned for the future. While the initial release is geared towards object scattering, procedural modeling and physics capabilities are under construction. You can download Ecotope as part of the free trial edition of GraphN.
