Stop-motion animation pioneer Phil Tippet has a trailer out for his upcoming film Mad God. The sci-fi horror film is a nightmare 30 years in the making. Tippet, who worked on the original Star Wars trilogy and Jurassic Park, describes it as “an apocalyptic stop-motion descent into the bowels of the unconscious,” with monsters, mad scientists, and war pigs. Mad God premieres next week at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. If the trailer is anything to go by, it’s truly the stuff of nightmares.
