With a new anime origin story, the world of The Witcher expands. The prequel is animated by Korean studio MIR and premiers worldwide on Netflix on August 23. It’s the story of Vesemir, Geralt’s mentor, who as a young witcher escapes poverty and goes to slay monsters for coin. When a strange new monster begins to terrorize the kingdom, Vesemir finds himself forced to confront the demons of his past.
