New VRay for NUKE Plugin Demo

This video from Chaos Group looks at setting up and rendering a scene with the new V-Ray for NUKE plugin, which lets you have real reflections, refractions, subsurface scattering and image-based HDR lighting directly within NUKE.

By integrating production quality raytraced rendering into NUKE, the plugin brings a new approach to lighting and compositing.

Topics covered include:

  • A comparison of the Scanline renderer in NUKE to V-Ray's renderer.
  • Loading geometry with the V-Ray proxy node.
  • Exploring materials and lights such as the V-Ray Light Dome
  • Adding V-Ray render elements like a MultiMatte, Zdepth, Specular, Reflection and Diffuse pass.
  • Render to an EXR node and check out the render layers.

More information about this plugin can be found in the a href="http://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/VFN/V-Ray+for+NUKE+QuickStart+Guides">V-Ray for NUKE documentation.
