About This Course

Introduction to Fluid Dynamics in Maya

In this project we take you through Maya's fluid dynamics system. We start off by exploring some uses for the 2D fluid container by creating an ink dissolve effect. From here we continue with creating smoke and fire in the form of flaming meteorites. In this part of the tutorial we'll be looking not only at creating and shading the smoke and fire, but also integrating nparticles with Maya fluids. The final parts cover how to use animated geometry to sculpt fluids.
