I love the model good work. The problems you are getting could be because of the shaders you are using. Did you try rendering the model with no shaders attached to it?

Rubberkidney 13-06-2004 11:46 AM

if its nurbs you need to up the tessalation

mtmckinley 13-06-2004 12:14 PM

Yep. When nurbs get rendered, they're automatically converted to polygons, so you have to increase the tessellation so that when it is converted, it's a whole lot of polygons in order to maintain the smooth look.

are you raytracing to get the reflection on the outer material? also you should model a little bit of a rim around the cockpit glass.. : )

select the surface and in the attribute editor for the surface go down until you find a tesselation attribute. bring up the U and V factor.

the front of the ship should be a lot darker..but its still looking good

Hey,

There's an attribute called smooth edge under the shape node->tesselation->options. That should be all you need.

set the control vertex which is outside the surface then in attribute editor set the tesseltion
or make it again from starting point :-)
