I love the model good work. The problems you are getting could be because of the shaders you are using. Did you try rendering the model with no shaders attached to it?
if its nurbs you need to up the tessalation
Yep. When nurbs get rendered, they're automatically converted to polygons, so you have to increase the tessellation so that when it is converted, it's a whole lot of polygons in order to maintain the smooth look.
are you raytracing to get the reflection on the outer material? also you should model a little bit of a rim around the cockpit glass.. : )
nice lookin' ship your got there dude :D
Hehhe thnx for al you comments, but where can i find tessellation in maya?
greetz, serhat |
select the surface and in the attribute editor for the surface go down until you find a tesselation attribute. bring up the U and V factor.
Cool looking ship! Nice work! :)
Oke i Think i got it now ;) Thnx for all your help and compilments.

the front of the ship should be a lot darker..but its still looking good
Hey,
There's an attribute called smooth edge under the shape node->tesselation->options. That should be all you need. sj |
set the control vertex which is outside the surface then in attribute editor set the tesseltion
or make it again from starting point :-) |
yeah
