Organic Modeling and Non-planar faces
Hi,
I'm modeling an somewhat organic model. So, is it a fact of life when your are organic modeling that you're going to end up with a lot of non-planar faces? Besides going in and fixing them by moving vertices to make them planar and/or tesselating them with cleanup. Does anybody have any strategies in avoiding non- planar faces when you are organic modeling? Thanks |
well, there are ways to move points in respect to the U, V, and normal of a face. But otherwise, usually, you end up with non-planar faces (I think the fact that they are non-planar supposedly helps, although I mostly do machine work). And I wouldn't try moving them to become planar later - if they need to be planar, tesselate them.
