Point Constraints with Softbodies

Hi guys,

I'm having a slight problem, what i'm attemping to do is crash a car model that i've made, as I've not got cloth (only the PLE version) I've decided to use soft bodies.

I've animated the car with soft bodies for the panels and coillided them with a poly object this gives a prety good deformation.

What I want to do is use maya's dynamics to do the crash for me os I've set up a simple poly cube shaped to the car and set up a point constraint to constrain the cube to the car body, ive then animated this using rigid bodies, this gives a good simulation of the movement after the collision (after some tweeking).

The problem is that I cant seem to get the soft body deformations when the point constraint is attached with the rigid body.

Hope this makes sense and someone can help me out

Cheers
