Hello folks,
I thought I'd join in this time! I've never modeled anything organic before so this should be fun. Good luck, Mat. |

Hello,
I've made a start. He sort of looks like a dopey dinosaur at the moment, that should change when I make the ear though! |

Looks pretty good for a start. But I think the nose shouldn't go out and slant all of a sudden.
But make it a more level slant. Like this. Make it slant more along the diagonal red line. |
I'd originaly a horse was a pretty good choice, thou someone beat me to it. But a camel has more modeling features to do. Good choice.

Thanks for the pointer gohan but I'm not using that image for my model. The camel picture I originally posted has its mouth open but the one I am using as a profile reference has its mouth closed.
Tiago, I'll take a look at your comp entry when I register with simplymax. Cheers, Mat. |

I think he's looking rather camely now, long way to go yet though!!
Take it easy, Mat. |

Wasn't he used to make smoking appeal to kids?
I stuck the profile reference to him and now he looks creepy, I don't think he would appeal to kids now!! I'm not sure which way I'm going to go with this one, there are images of camels with hair and ones much like the ref I'm using. I've never used hair or fur before, an ideal opportunity to learn or there is the z-brush option. Plenty of time to play round and plenty of learning along the way whichever one I choose. Anyone's opinion of either path would be cool. Cheers, Mat. |
