What am I doing wrong?
 

Hi all
I have a problem, I am trying to do layered textures in Maya 2015 by using this tutorial
I follow the steps as it should be, but after I get to the point where I have to use the brush to paint it won't work, I mean I try to hold left mouse button to paint with the brush on the plane polygon and nothing happens, what could I be doing wrong?

I managed to paint on the ground, but instead of showing the grass UV set, it shows white color. Can someone help me with this issue? Cuz I have set and linked in my layered texture as it should the grass and the dirt be, so my only problem is that when I start painting with the brush on the dirt texture, instead of showing grass texture while painting it shows the white color,

Just gone through a tut similar to yours this had the RGBA ticked and the alpha set to "0"...............dave

Well I tried RGBA and with alpha to 0, but still does the same problem, it paints it in white, no idea how to make it to show the grass UV. :( Could Maya 2015 have a bug with that? Also I am using viewport 2.0 and directx 11. I tried with legacy viewport and high quality viewport, but they do not fix it.

It looks like a bug in new versions of Maya. I have tried this tutorial too. In 2016 uvset linking doesn't work at all. Textures are not switching. ((

Let's hope it will get fixed in upcoming service packs, glad to see I'm not the only one with this issue. :)
