Maya 7 dissapearing texture for image plane.
 

please help I am working on the oliphant tutorial and for whatever reason the texture on the image plane just dissapeared and whenever I press 5 is goes shaded and when I hit 6 it goes a whitesh color

It sounds like the same problem I had a couple of days ago.

I fixed it by installing a newer graphics card driver [downloaded from the manufacturer's website] on my computer. Here's my question thread with screen grabs of the problem, so you can see if it's the same one you're having!

Tell me the graphic card you have now and a rough estimate of how much it cost i'm working on Windows XP and on a dell much appreciated.:beer:
