Sure! Im making a centaur dude. Not from KURTS tutorial, i dont have any money invested into theese tutorials. Anyway, hes gona bee pretty ool, I have about 6 sketches that I did last night and I am going to be exploring normal mapping.
Oh btw, do you think it would be fair if I used some 3ds max for some modeling or UVing, or do you think I should stick entirely to Maya and Photoshop for textures. |
i think it should be in just photoshop and Maya..... doesnt 3Ds max have a auto UV thing?:confused:
can you post your drawings? im thinking of doing a...............Android? maybe, not sure yet though:confused: or maybe part human part robot! |
oh, you know i have PLE, so i cant normal map, so ill try displacement, ok?

No you cant do displacement. That adds polygons. YOu can only do bump. Displacement changes the actual model to whatever, but bump only shifts the texture.

Mmm... I see. I would post a sketch of mine, and I will. Also, I will post a first WIP of my head. My mesh is erally secrewed up around the head, and when I smooth it comes out like crap. Anyway, I decided that I will just be using a bump map. Here is the head
