there needs to be some kind of texture involved. You can use normal maps and spec maps and all that, but you typically wouldn't just put a color on a model.

I wouldn't smooth it. I'd use the polys available to actually create the model's details. I've never smoothed a game mesh in my career, and don't know anyone who has so far.

I probably wouldn't use a boolean like that. I assume that's supposed to be the glove compartment or something? I'd probably just use textures for those kinds of details

looking pretty nifty. One thing that might be neat would be a pointed front, kind of like a locomotive cow catcher. :)
