only thing i see but maybe just my taste ...the ears and proportion to the rest of the head/body just doesnt look right but hey...

not sure if this will help but i had it happen on my dragon ...


1. i just viewed faces and then it allow me to delete it ... (which I am sure you did that already )

might be verticle faces ..i check by just spacebar and verticle faces and look for any with double face ... and then just delete...

in display - custom poly display ...do you have border edges set to 5 and to show them ? then look at tail and see if there are dark lines then it shows it is not attached correctly ...i am not at...

off to a great start mate ... love how the geometry just flows ..cant wait to see this ..I am sure you are good at organic lol ..
