Thanks Brian. I just created a directory on my C: drive called Maya_scripts, then executed it from the script editor. Finally got it to work.

I'm running version 4.5, and I get:

Error: File not found.: C:Documents and SettingsStevenCMy DocumentsmayascriptsGIJoe.lights

Basically it ignores the "/". I tried using "\" instead of "/"...
