Well you have to check if your vista drivers are xp compatible.

Drivers in general are not always useable in both OS versions.

Software is not a problem mostly.

But drivers need to be Vista...

I think that magazine needs to redo there tests then. If its an old article, then they for sure need to update there statement.

I could be wrong. I have ultimate asuming that home basic was limited to 3 gigs like windows xp home.

I guess that there is where my misinterpretation started.

32 bit 3gigs
64 bit 8gigs or even more depending on your mainboard.

But you need Vista Ultimate to get 8 gigs. A normal home edition or home premium or even business will only give you 3 gigs....

CPU is for rendering speed
Ram is for file load.

64Bit can handle large files.

I had to build a large containership into high detail, my file ended up 1.8 gigabytes. And i had no crashes or any other problem.

Do note ram is important.
