cheers for your advice - i think i do need to spend more time planning the model before i open maya! I find myself thinking, "oh it'd be cool if there was a .... in there..." etc and spend time doing...

Hi, So i've been using Maya and learning for a few months now, and it seems to me that you can do so much with textures and in the hypershade than i first thought!

i feel mac pro is the way to go (hey, i'm a poet and i didn't know it!) (beginning to sound like a dr seuss book now)

sounds a bit too involved for a newbie like me lol!
