June - Noob - Mayaguy_dr

After a long time, i'm participating in the challenge. Hmmm... Mythical creatures !!

I've never done mythical creatures before. I've not decided what to model. Will come up with something soon.

Couldn't decide where to choose from ... greek or mayan or european mythologies.

And finally decided to choose the character from my Indian Mythology. We've many mythological characters here in India ...and i chose to try to model Hanuman - the monkey God.

About Hanuman : Hanuman is a monkey god. He is a noble hero and great devotee of Lord Rama of the Ramayana.

This deity is a provider of courage, hope, knowledge, intellect and devotion. He is pictured as a robust monkey holding a mace (gada) which is a sign of bravery and having a picture of Lord Rama tatooed on his chest which is a sign of his devotion to Lord Rama.

Well, this is my first try. Hope i'll finish it off by month end

thnx rubberchicken. am trying my best to make it look good.

tweaked the nose and the upper lip. Created a crease in the upper lip. and pushed back the nose 'coz it looked more human.
Now the nose looks fine.

are the eyes going to be that big? he has a cartoonish look here, you should give him some more chiseled features.
