Light exclusion by name

Hello all, I'm working on a light rig that I'm hoping to be able to have a light (or a couple) that only affects background objects. The problem here is I don't want to render multiple passes, as well as various objects+chars would need to get loaded and removed freely but the lights spotting the characters and not lighting them.

So basicly an expression/script that would make certain lights not render certain objects if they're loaded.. (and don't want to do light-linking by hand either, all automatic.. if possible)

Thanks in advance!
