This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

GTA in all its glory

So I was playing gta right.. Until I came across this model that was so good that I had to stop and take a screencapture of it. I don't know why GTA doesn't make all the models this good. So without futher adue here are the screen captures:

AHahah either that or they let they're 5 year old sons model it. The texture is the funniest part. I love how they put the wheel in the texture lol. Its so cheap.

I really don`t see the big problem here.

the gta series are all very large games with very little loading I may add. There are points in the game where you can see the whole city - and let remember its a PS2 game (the xbox and pc versons were straight transfers) the poly counts ain`t great. I think they do a wonderful job. So what the car is super low poly - still looks like a car. Is it meant to driven no, its a background object so whats the point. I would perfur this to increase in loading zones.

And if any one has seen the new gta trailer you`ll know its not the talent that is the problem here

I honestly dont care about graphics in games either. Its just this particular one is so bad ahahahah

Should have a comp to see how well you can re-create it, hand painting textures.

HAaahah you're on!!

Ill just start modelling with my eyes closed or try get as low polys as I can. But for the texture I think I will do what GTA did. Use a picture of a car.
