exporting trax

I have a character that im struggaling to export to trax (my elephant indy)
do i need to select all his gear or thr root or what when exporting him?

have you done a maya help search on trax?

it might be as easy as just creating a character set, i'm not entirely positive.

How do i do that, i cant find anything in the help
ive tried selecting various things but the clips i get seem to be "empty"
