IMAGE MODELING AND EXPORTING AN ANIMATION

Hi everybody, I´m starting to learn maya and everything is going ok, but I have some questions:

First: which is the best way to model using an image as reference, I mean when using curves.

Second: how do I export a rendered animation - in good resolution an without the grid and other elements-

thank u all for your answers.

Ps: excuse my gramatical mistakes, I´m from Bogotá Colombia user added image
