This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Neat stuff. I like the Chinese art look of the shader.

I don't understand very well. How can you achieve that effect only with a surface shader and a ramp??
Do you know a tutorial about it in english?
could you upload your shader somewhere. please, it's incredible!!!

Hi Ribbit,

"watercolor Shader" by Mathias Gordon, which you can find in the maya shader section on highend...
https://www.highend3d.com/maya/shaders/
or go to his homepage... -->
https://www.berlin-zoo.com/

there are also some other shaders, scripts and plugins on Highend3D, but most of them is "Cartoon" related... there also exist a few english tutorials about how to make a cartoonshader in Maya...

Jason Schleifer also have some stuff about a NPR/cartoon shader thingie, he is using on his project "Jonh and his dog"... -->
https://www.jonhandhisdog.com/

one word to search about e.g. on google is "NPR" (Non-PhotoRealistic)...

kwoninjae also shows his shader on his site, which he has linked to... one way to translate it into a bit english, is to go to this site... -->
https://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/tr
paste the link in the "website" textfield, and choose "Korean to English"...

hope you can use some of it... user added image

regards

Strarup
