This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Thanks, Pure. I was hoping for a polygon-related approach. I'm more comfortable with poly-modeling then NURBS. Though of course I still plan on learning NURBS as well.

it is a poly based approach, watch the video link that's in that thread and that will show you how to do it with polys.
