How do I remove excess after Nurb Round Tool?

If I make a basic cube (Nurb) and apply the Round Tool to one edge, it leaves two "flanges". How do I remove those flanges so I have a nice rounded edge? I didn't see an option to do so during the Rounding.

I am not sure I understand what you meen by flanges.. but maybe an option is to use the trim tool ..
