'Shortness' I find to be very much in the proportions of head contra body, small head feels like a tall character, larger head feels shorter. my $.02

Thanks man. Updated the eyes and the nose a bit... the UVs are a bit off hence the hair and the texture (especially around the eyes) are a bit off too. A wip anyway:

I think that the hair should be a little shorter, because people in the army have them shorter. also the eyes look alittle sunken.

dunno, the hair looks a bit sparse, and too blonde, darker hair would suit him...
