This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
I only have few things to say and thats modeling from reference images helps a lot, look at murph's, second thing is, I always try to make my model a single piece of geometry, instead of having loads of parts, the third and final thing is welcome to SimplyMaya, hope you enjoy your stay.
just one more thing SimplyMaya have a load of great free tutorials that could help you thru this challenge check them out here

Ya this site is full of tutorials but the free ones arent that good... and i cant download the non free ones because i dont have any points i cant download anything...but im going to watch the clothes tutorial thats free.
Buy some points maybe? The VIP tuts are well worth the money I think, at first I myself was a little hazy about buying points but when I actually seen the vids I have realised how gr8 they are!

you really should use some sort of ref dude, even if you just draw your concept and then stick them up as image planes and then model to them...
there is a free movie on this site that shows you how to set up image planes.
sorry dude - i was still fast asleep at that time in the morning!!
yeah exactly, but you dont need to "xray" -them
Have a look at what the other guys on this challange forum have done (except mine) and you'll get a good idea of how they do it, and coupled with your image plane set up movie - you'll be well on the way!!
