This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Need help.

when i use paint fx to create hair for my nurbs head. The hair "grows" inside the head.

sounds like your surface normals are reversed. you just need to reverse your surface formals.

for polys select mesh and under edit polygons>normals> reverse

for nurbs under edit nurbs>reverse surface direction
