My first character WIP

This month I'm working on my first character and first animation. So I guess I'm going to share my process on this guy. We have to make him in Nurbs...convert to poly...then later SubDiv.

We have to do a radial head...which looked allright....but I have too many isoparms...and they are not positioned well...but I didnt have time to fix that. If I get more time after I finish the rest of the body, I will redo the head correctly. I didnt know since it was my first time :o

But here is the head. Torso and Arms soon to come.

here is a quick render....I cannot seem to get the patch modelling correctly. Always have little creases and gaps as you can see. I posted in this in the Newb section too.

And another thing...a lot of my detail and bone structure got absolutely decimated when I was attaching and rebuilding surfaces. My browline has pretty much disappeared....odd crease was made on the cheekbone due to added isoparms. Nose is messed up now as is lips.

Once again, I didnt have time to fix all that so hopefully I can later.

this shall be interesting user added image

Is he one of the characters from the Blue Men Group.user added image

His face needs some work like the nose and more defined features like cheekbones an brows,, but good start.
Are you using a image references for him, or doing it on the fly.

I lost all of my bone structure and nose detail when I converted him to poly. So I am going to go back in and try to get that detail/definition back. And then hopefully fix the lips, because they look like crap.

I havn't used SubDiv's yet, but I was told they would be best for bringing the detail & structure back onto the face???

I am using a reference for him.
