this is a work in progress.. this is just a start, i only spent maybe 2 days on this model..
nothing is final here, im still tweaking.
i have not even started on the body.

also this is a very orthographic view of the model.
it has more volume in perspective views. and the nose area is fine now, ive tweaked it a bit.
the cheek bone are built cuz they need to match his overall musculature, and they look nothing like a chimp or gorrila...
the eyes are definately not too deep...
velusion: it should be the mib_amb_occ texture in maya in the MR tab in the hypershade. just plug it into the color channel of your shader and the ambient. i usually use a surface shader and plug it into the color slot.
very nice mate, cant see anything wrong with this whatso ever, the neck area looks great! perhaps a bit to sharp where it forms a U meeting the breast bone part. really well done!

My only suggestion for now is the lower nostrils , they look a little sharp under there. I know its still on the go at the moment, but thats the only thing that hit me straight away on the last ortho's you've posted.
Please bear in mind I've not read the other posts, I tend to avoid them somedays so to have a 'fresh' comment regardless to whether its been said or not.
