Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Hey,

With your polygon selected ("pasted_polysurface1") go to Polygons---> Cleanup Options. Reset settings. Now check "Nonmanifold Geometry", and then press Cleanup. Try your boolean operations now. That should work.

Cheers

Running into the same problem where it disappears, and the cleanup does not work either.

check your normals, if they're not pointing the same direction, the booleans will fail.
