Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

not sure if it is needed, but here is a wireframe of the ant on persp, front, top and side. displaysmoothness is set to 1 or the pics would be almost solid, as after converting from subd to nurbs i got 1800+ nurbssurfaces. in the zip is only a gif, but it is too huge to display (1542x1172 pixel).

Hi guys ..awesome entries! Keep ´em coming!

I´d have to apologize (again) for my delay on updating the showcase ... I promise I´ll do it tomorrow night (as I´ll get a break in that destructive environment we call college).

Sorry about it again guys. Excellent entries!

See you tomorrow then guys!

oh cool, i found out about rigid bodies. and experimented with it. as the ant is a transport mecha, i made some simple spider mechas that get ready for war user added image

edit: oops pic was in 640x480, refomated it, and as you cannot see the spiders real well, you need to wait for the final shot user added image
oh no i send the pic in next post, did not work to change it user added image

I won't have time to finish the walking can opener.
So I quickly added the big nose driver critter for fun.

It will be removed for the final render.
