create mental ray nodes.

how do I create mental ray nodes? I know that in the hypershade, you can switch between create maya/mental ray nodes, but where do I open the mental ray files? I did it once in a tutorial, but I forgot how.... user added image :headbang: I think I have to go into the plugin manager or something.... HOW?

in the plugin manager activate mayatomr. in the hypershade on top left side leftClick Create Maya Nodes and choose Create Mental Ray Nodes. under material you have now mr materials.


everything starts and ends in the right place at the right time.

well, that was not the answer I was looking for, but I figured it out... I'll post it up in case anyone wants to know. Go to windows> settings/preferences> plugin manager. Than tur on mayatomr

uh, no it isn't. I asked HOW to open the plugin manager. he told me which plugin to activate.
