Another small update, I've reworked the brake disc and calliper as I wasn't happy with the old one:

More brake disc pics, I discovered another reference pic of them so decided to work on them some more. Think I am happy with them now.

Hi again,

A busy week of modelling has got me to this stage. The car is pretty much complete in terms of modelling, theres only the floorpan and the odd thing like the Koenigsegg text/mesh grills etc left to do. And of course some tweeking!! user added image

isn't the motor a lot bigger than that? like a v10 or v12?

Forum_snowboarder33: According to wikipedia, the CCR has a 4.7L V8 capable of producing 806 bhp.

Here's the link: Koenigsegg CCR

Foghorn: Nice modeling. I love the amount of detail that you're putting into this model. I can't wait to see the final render(s).

Forum_snowboarder33 - As Ex-Vin has stated, it is in fact a V8.

Ex-Vin - Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad you like all the detail I've put in. user added image

Well it's been over a week since my last date, time flys!! Since the last update I've added:

Koenigsegg logo to the rear bonnet and the engine.
Mesh grills
Rear lights on bumper
Rear diffusers
Door hinges (and rigged to open & close)
Floorpan

As you can see I've actually got round to producing proper renders too using Mental Ray. Having never used it before it caused a few headaches at first but eventually got it working.

This is probably going to be the last update on this project for a while as Ive got several other modelling projects I need to be getting on with.

Please feel free to leave feedback.

Many thanks user added image

I've reworked the tyre so there is now a smoother transition on the sidewall and the tread cuts into the sidewall slightly instead of just lying on top.

Thank you again for the comments user added image Regarding the rendering, it caused some headaches over the weekend with mental ray running out of memory, but once I had figured out how to resolve the issue it's ok.
