Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
and now the sprites come toward the camera and so now the texture.
I got a Lambert, put my butterfly file with an alpha channel on it, or some form of transparency (up to you) and assigned it to the sprites by selecting the sprites and 'assign to selected.'
